Vampire Hunters delivers a crazy fun arena FPS experience! Roguelike, small arena maps, hordes of enemies, bosses galore, and TONS of unlocks and achievements make this a must play and one you can dump a lot of hours into if you're a fan of the genre.
Here's some math for you. Ridiculous Premise + Solid Theme + Smooth Gameplay = Amazing Fun. The idea behind is pretty ridiculous. You're a Vampire Hunter (duh?), who has to fight off hordes of progressively harder vampire types and bosses, by collecting and upgrading as many guns and modifications as you possibly can to blast them. Or upgrade one gun to ungodly levels. Or take a bunch of supernatural abilities and familiars. Or eight miniguns. That sounds great too. The point is, pick what you think is going to blast the most vampires the fastest without dying.
I've had a ton of fun with this game so far. There's an insane amount of unlocks and achievements. There's about 6 characters, 8 maps, global upgrades that affect all characters, relics to unlock for each character, constellations to find by completing specific milestone in game that affect your game on a large scale, leaderboards and weekly challenges, and so many guns to find. The closest game I can think of right is probably the Ziggurat series or Immortal Redneck, with the biggest difference being VH doesn't have the room system those games do. The maps are smaller, with lots of ramps and side rooms, which eventually spawn objectives to complete once you pass set surviving time.
If you like roguelikes with lot of achievements, lots of enemies, and lots of choices, definitely give this one a shot.
