New Retro Game: Hero-U

Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption is an Adventure/Role Playing Game under development by Corey and Lori Cole, creators of the Award-winning Quest for Glory Series.  Great to see a lot of the original designers coming back with the help of Kickstarter, when it may never have happened otherwise.  If you're an adventure fan of any kind, you'll probably want to check this out.

New Retro Horror Game: Peridium

Found a great looking point and click game today called Peridium.  2D point and click, full voice acting, and multiple endings.  Sounds like a winner.

Mycologist Dr. James Turner had been stationed at an Antarctic research base for the past decade. He and his wife were nearing completion of their study into the ancient fungal organisms buried deep below the ice, when something had gone very wrong.

Will definitely be streaming this one on my YouTube channel soon.  It's completely free to download on the developer's website.

New Retro Game: Thimbleweed Park

Stumbled across this today and very excited to see it.  A new point and click adventure from the creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion and described as blending the creepiness of Twin Peaks with the humor of Monkey Island. Wow.  There is no way this is going to be bad.  Looks like it's available on just about every platform, so will definitely be picking this up on Steam soon for a review.

Stranger Things Adventure Game = Win

In case you missed this one shortly after the first season of Stranger Things ended, check out the point and clickish adventure game made of it.  Pretty awesome.  And if you haven't watched the show, even if you aren't a horror fan, watch it.

Retro DOS Review: Beneath A Steel Sky

I read a great quote somewhere recently (I wish I could remember where so I could give credit) making a very simple comparison to adventure games of today and older ones. It said:
Nice sweater!
"An adventure game is not an adventure with puzzles in it. It's an adventure with adventure puzzles in it."

Retro DOS Review: Conquests of the Longbow, The Legend of Robin Hood!

Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood (from now on known as CLLRH) was a title I missed out on when I was little, but after playing it through, I feel it was probably better that way.

The Legend of Kyrandia is the first of 3 graphic adventure games, succeeded by "Hand of Fate", and "Malcolm's Revenge".

Coming Soon: Space Quest!

First full review coming soon! Space Quest was one of the first and best adventure/RPG games I remember playing.  Does it have an epic story line to today's standards?  No.  Does it have super high res graphics? No.  What does it have?  16 colors, one 2D spaceman, an alien Blues Brothers band, and a couple hundred ways to die.  Check back soon!
